Lake Allatoona Drought Reaches New Records |
|
Another seven feet down and the lake will be below the water level that the Corps of Engineers currently uses to draw out water for surrounding counties. Just about the only people benefitting from this are the kayakers on local rivers who enjoy the low water and some fishermen who find it easier to land big catches.Comments

To a large degree, the media is sensationalizing the lake level in Allatoona. The REAL STORY, should be about the tremendous fishing we are currently doing on Allatoona. Fall is one of the best times of the year to fish this lake. Now, we have more condensed schools of fish. This week, we have averaged between 30-50 stripers and hybrids, per outing.
